London, Jan 31 – British singer Amy Winehouse has reportedly confessed to a friend that she is bisexual and has had relationships with other women. The ‘Back to Black’ singer, who married Blake Fielder-Civil in May 2007 but got seperated in August 2009 after Blake filed for divorce on grounds of adultery, reportedly told a friend that she has had relationships with men as well as women, reports News of the World newspaper. ‘I like girls as well.
Kolkata, Jan 31 – West Bengal’s ruling Left Front major Communist Party of India- Marxist (CPI-M) Sunday welcomed the Ranganath Mishra Commission report recommending 10 percent reservation for Muslims and five percent for other minorities in government jobs. ‘We welcome the report,’ said CPI-M state secretary Biman Bose. Bose said the recommendations of the report will be discussed by the front partners when they meet here Monday.

Chennai, Jan 31 – The 25th annual India International Leather Fair began here Sunday at Chennai Trade Centre with signs of export demand for leather products turning bright. The four-day fair organised by the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) has attracted 425 exhibitors of whom 172 are from abroad including China, France, Germany, Italy and Thailand. According to Coucil for Leather Exports (CLE) chairman Habib Hussain, the times are bright as Indian factories are getting export orders from December onwards.

Jashpur (Chhattisgarh), Jan.31 : With an increase in Maoists attacks, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has adopted two villages in Chhattisgarh state. The 81st battalion of the CRPF has been deployed in Jakba and Lokhandi villages. Officials say that the latest step to adopt villages has come as part of CRPF’s operations.
New Delhi, Jan 31 – The renovated state-of-the-art Karni Singh Shooting Range was inaugurated here Sunday, making it the third facility to be completed for the Commonwealth Games, which are due in October. The shooting range, which will host the Comonwealth Shooting Championship from Feb 17, was under constant media glare as construction work started late, leading to speculation that it was behind schedule.
