London, Feb 28 : Scott Brown, the recently elected senator from Massachusetts, donned pink leather shorts on his first date with his future wife, his daughter has revealed. Brown hit the headlines last month after making it to the senate from Massachusetts, a seat long held by the Kennedys, becoming the first Republican to achieve the feat since 1972. Thailand tense following grenade attacks on main bank

Bangkok (Thailand), Feb.28 : Two grenades exploded outside branches of Thailand’s biggest bank – the Bangkok Bank — causing damage but no casualties. The first blast hit a branch in the Silom business district, shattering windows and doors, while the second caused similar damage and also wrecked telephone booths in Samut Prakarn on the outskirts of the capital, police said. Another two unexploded grenades were defused at Bangkok Bank branches at around the same time.

N.Korea may return to six-party talks in March or April

Washington, Feb.28 : North Korea may return to nuclear disarmament talks in March or April, the Yonhap news agency said Sunday. It quoted an unnamed senior South Korean government official, as saying: “We believe North Korea will come back to the six-party talks sooner or later, possibly in March or April, although we cannot predict the exact timing.” He was talking with a group of South Korean journalists in Washington on Saturday. “Our judgement is based on circumstantial evidence surrounding recent contacts between North Korea and China,” he added.
