Chandigarh, March 18 – Former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh has postponed his trip to Lahore where he was to release his book ‘The Last Sunset: Rise and Fall of the Lahore Durbar’.
‘In the wake of the current situation prevailing in Pakistan, I have deferred my trip for another few weeks. This decision has been taken on the advice of my friends and very soon I will announce the new date of my visit,’ Amarinder Singh told IANS here Thursday.
Amarinder Singh, who released his book here March 9, was going to Pakistan on a 10-day visit through Attari-Wagah border March 25.
A 20-member delegation, comprising senior politicians and journalists, was also to accompany him to Pakistan.
The book is about the heroic Sikh king, Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
