Beijing, Sep 21 – Even as winter is on its way in China, people are looking forward to the comfort of their homes and having some entertainment. Most of them plan to have Superman ‘delivered’ at 1,000 yuan an hour or a pole dance tutor at 800 yuan.
While food, drink or shopping bags have been delivered to homes since time immemorial, the Chinese capital is witnessing a growth in special services available at the door, China Daily reported.
For just 1,000 yuan an hour, one of Beijing’s most enthusiastic entertainers – ‘Mr. Magic’ – will show up at your door dressed as Superman. And if superheroes do not impress you, Mr. Magic can also come up as Elvis Presley.
People are also planning to take part in private pole dancing lessons in their homes, because for around 2,000 yuan, a pole can be installed in the house. A dance instructor will visit each week for 800 yuan to teach the latest twists and turns.
If the cold, lonely winter makes you feel lonely, do not feel bad, for you can rent a friend and have him delivered right to your door.
Claiming 283,000 friends worldwide, ‘Rent-A-Friend’ is a new service that allows users to search by area and, for 175 yuan a month, contact ‘friends’ to watch movies, go to the park, or just hang out.
The friend, however, comes at a price of 70 yuan an hour.
You can even listen to the soulful Scottish bagpipe live.
Beijing residents can now book award-winning bagpiper Duncan McKay at 1,050 yuan an hour and the Australian musician will fill the homes with the moving melodies of one of Scotland’s most treasured instruments.
