Chandigarh, Jan 31 – Himachal Pradesh Congress president Kaul Singh Thakur Monday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government of shielding tainted government officials and allowing corruption in the state. ‘The BJP government has ruined Himachal Pradesh. Corruption is rampant and the state government has no control over the bureaucracy.
Islamabad, Jan 31: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is reportedly planning to stop all Blackberry services to foreign missions in the country. “I can confirm that PTA has asked us to stop all BlackBerry services to foreign embassies and high commissions,” the Dawn quoted a senior official at a mobile company, as saying. Another industry official confirmed that his company has received the PTA instructions.

Bhopal, Jan 31 – Both Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress, the two main political parties in Madhya Pradesh, have chosen to field family members of the leaders of their respective parties in the Feb 14 by-polls in Kukshi and Sonkatch constituencies. Kukshi seat fell vacant after veteran leader Jamua Devi died in September last year. Devi who was also leader of opposition was first elected to the assembly in 1952.
