Extremists plan to wreak havoc around Westminster Abbey for a month before the big day and aim to ambush royal cars with roadblocks, diversions and smoke bombs on April 29.

The Swiss adventurer walked from 10,836ft to 8,865ft, which is nearly two miles from the ground. The 46-year-old circus tightrope walker did not use a harness or safety nets as he hovered above the clouds in Silvaplana, Switzerland, reports the Sun.

Melbourne, Jan 31 : A man in Australia has been given a suspended sentence and released on a bond for raping and getting his sister pregnant more than 20 years ago. The man, 40, admitted to five years of sexual abuse, which had begun when his sister was aged 11 and he was 13, and it continued until she fell pregnant at about the age of 16. He pleaded guilty in the South Australian District Court in November last year to one count of unlawful sexual intercourse in 1989.

For the first time, fingerprints can now be taken from soft surfaces like cloth as well as household fabrics such as curtains and couches, reports the Scotsman. Until now, forensic officers could only take fingerprints from solid objects.
Washington, Jan 31: Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, John Boehner, has said that he would take President Barack Obama up on his offer to play golf while talking over the nation’s debt problems. When asked whether he would be willing to play 18 holes with Obama, Boehner said: “Of course. I’m sure I’ll have to give him strokes.” Though both the leaders share a love of the game, Obama and Boehner are not close, and Boehner said that Obama has not reached out to him much since he became the House’s 61st speaker.
New Delhi, Jan 31 : The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, will inaugurate the chief ministers conference on internal security here tomorrow. The conference will review the security situation in the country and focus on other wide-ranging issues related to internal security, such as filling up of vacancies against the sanctioned strength of police forces. It will also review the strengthening of counter-terrorism capabilities, strengthening of the intelligence wing, economic offences, implementation of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS), police reforms, coastal security, border management and Left Wing Extremism (LWE).
Kabul, Jan.31 : Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is allegedly reported to have offered 1.5 million US dollars (Rs.7.50 crores) to an Afghan journalist to assassinate India’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Jayant Prasad and 0.8 million dollars (Rs.3.60 crores) to kill Baloch leader Brahmdagh Bugti. In an interview to be aired on a Punjab-based television network tonight, Nawab Momand, who has worked with several leading media organizations, including Afghanistan’s popular Tolo TV and Arman Radio, Afghanistan’s first FM radio station, reveals that the ISI deposited 0.8 million USD (Rs.3.60 crores) with a Kabul jeweller to be paid to him on the day he killed Bugti, the grandson of the legendary Baloch leader, Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti. But being true to his Pathan tradition of protecting a person who has sought shelter, Nawab Momand’s conscience did not allow him to kill Bugti and he got in touch with the Afghan authorities.
