Coral atlas of Gujarat released

Gandhinagar, April 30,: A comprehensive coral atlas of Gujarat was released here Saturday by state Forest Minister Mangubhai Patel. The second publication brought out by the Gujarat Ecology Commission (GEC), the report will serve as an important baseline in the preparation of the upcoming Integrated Coastal Zone Management Plan for Gujarat.

Search operations for Khandu’s helicopter to resume Sunday: IAF

Shillong, April 30: Due to bad weather conditions, the Indian Air Force (IAF) Saturday called off search operations to locate the missing helicopter which carried Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu and four others, n official said Saturday. ‘We have suspended our rescue and search operations for the day due to bad weather but we will resume it tomorrow (Sunday) again,’ IAF spokesman Ranjeeb Sahoo told IANS here.

MIM leader Akbar Owaisi attacked, Hyderabad tense

Hyderabad, April 30: Andhra Pradesh legislator and Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi was injured when assailants stabbed and opened fire at him here Saturday, sparking tensions in parts of the city. 1.5 mn narcotic tablets seized in Dubai

Dubai, April 30 (IANS/WAM) A huge consignment of narcotics – 1.5 million tablets of a restricted medicine – has been seized by the customs department at the Dubai International Airport, officials said. A senior manager of air cargo operations at the airport said they found 35 cartons weighing a total of 863 kg coming from an unnamed Asian country.
