New Delhi, May 6: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has decided to come down hard on N.P. Pradeep and asked the India midfielder to appear before the federation May 16 and explain his comments.
The AIFF Friday show caused the Viva Kerala player and asked him to give a written explanation by May 11 about his negative comments about the Indian football’s apex body.
Dempo’s Joaquim Abranches, however, was lucky and was let-off with a warning after he apologised to the federation.
Abranches criticised the AIFF in an interview to Pune newspaper while Pradeep made derogatory comments on social networking site. They criticised the AIFF after coach Bob Houghton was sacked by the federation.
A top AIFF official told IANS that Pradeep could be in big trouble.
‘Pradeep made unparliamentary comments against the federation and that is unacceptable. The AIFF is surprised by Pradeep’s audacity,’ the official said.
