NOIDA (Uttar Pradesh), May 19: The Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and Amity University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote academic collaboration in subjects such as computer science, life science, information technology, international affairs and other subjects.
Amity and BIT will also promote student exchange programmes, faculty exchange programmes and joint research in computer science, life science and information technology etc.
During his address, Guo Dacheng, Chairman, of University Council, BIT, said: “Holistic education is the key to a nation’s progress. Global progress can collectively do better by establishing links across nations and continents through academic joint ventures and partnerships in terms of various educational exchange programmes.”
He added: “BIT welcomes over 400 international students every year from various niche universities of the world and has already established collaborative ties with over 150 universities from forty three countries, including Australia, Spain, Germany and North America etc.”
Appreciating the excellence of Amity, he said: “BIT is keen on education tie ups with Amity which will boost the links between the two universities, and therefore, will be heartened to have Amity students in its campus and vice versa for further nurturing of the relationship.”
The valuable interactive session was followed by the felicitation for the Chinese delegation. (ANI)
