China to float treasury bonds worth $5 bn Thursday

Beijing, May 11: The Chinese finance ministry will float seven-year book-entry treasury bonds worth 32.52 billion yuan ($5.1 billion) starting Thursday, Xinhua reported.

The bonds will carry a maturity term of seven years with a fixed annual interest rate of 3.83 percent, according to a statement posted on the ministry’s website.

Interest on the bonds will be paid annually. The bonds will be sold to the public May 12-16 and become tradable on securities markets May 18, the statement added.
