London, May 01: British Prime Minister David Cameron defeated former Wimbledon champion Boris Becker in a charity match.
The event in Buckinghamshire came about after an auction in aid of the Kirsty Club, fronted by brave Kirsty Howard, who was born with a rare heart condition, reports the Telegraph.
Caroline Wynn and Sharon Kettle bid 8,250 pounds to take part in a game with Becker and Cameron.
The money will help the Francis House Children’s Hospice in Didsbury, Manchester.
The single-set contest went to six games all, before a delighted Cameron and Wynn eventually won a tie-break 8-6.
The premier – who was described by onlookers as “very competitive” – then joined forces with Becker for a knock-up against the two women while wife Samantha looked on. (ANI)
