London, May 7: Coach Roberto Mancini has warned Manchester City’s owner that he will have to spend big again if he wants to mount a title bid and compete in the Champions League.ancini has already splashed 150-million-pounds of Sheikh Mansour’s money on his squad.
City topped the league briefly in January but fell away and are now fighting for fourth spot and that final Champions League place.
Manager Mancini, whose FA Cup finalists visit Everton today, said: “It’s very difficult if you don’t have a big list of players – it’s impossible to go on for the final of these cups and play for the title.”
Mancini faces the most crucial eight days in the club’s history.
City have two key Premier League fixtures in their bid to secure fourth place – at Everton today and home to Spurs on Tuesday – plus the FA Cup final against Stoke next Saturday.
The manager believes ending the club’s 35-year silverware drought will really push them forward. (ANI)
