Nairobi, May 4: Security has been tightened at the home of US President Barack Obama’s grandmother following the killing of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
Additional police officers have been stationed at Sarah Obama’s home in west Kenya following fears of a reprisal attack in retaliation for the killing of bin Laden on Sunday, reports.
“We’ve received reports of plans to attack the home of Sarah Obama three days ago and immediately put in place adequate security measures,” The Fox News quoted local police chief Stephen Cheteka, as saying.
He also said her home will be under constant surveillance.
Cheteka said there was no cause for alarm and that Obama had been informed of the increased security measures. (ANI)
