’180ft wide, 281ft long’ T-shirt set to break ‘Guinness World Record’

London, June 13: A shirt, measuring 180 feet wide and 281 feet long has been created in an attempt to break the ‘Guinness World Record’ for the largest T-shirt.

The shirt that was made by Gildan Activewear Inc, a leading manufacturer of branded T-shirts, had 100 volunteers at the Country Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee to roll it out, reports Sky News.

It took six weeks to make the shirt and it weighs more than two tonnes.

The US Company said that the fabric for the shirt was produced at one of its state-of-the-art textile facilities, and that the final assembly took place in Utah.

A Guinness World Record surveyor has measured the shirt from shoulder to hem vertically and armpit to armpit horizontally.

However, the measurements are yet to be officially verified to make it a world record.

Guinness said that the largest T-shirt record has been set and broken five times since the first attempt in 1991. (ANI)
