Adebayor snubs Blackburn

London, Jun 30: Emmanuel Adebayor has snubbed Blackburn by saying that he does not want to fight relegation battles.

The Manchester City striker urged Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho to take him back after his loan spell at the Bernabeu.

Rovers boss Steve Kean has lined up an ambitious move for Adebayor, who spent four months in Spain after falling out of favour with City chief Roberto Mancini.

Adebayor claimed he has got the taste for success after helping Real win the Copa del Rey and said he cannot face playing for a struggling side, The Sun reports.

Adebayor also ruled out a Zenit St Petersburg move.

“It’s clear in my mind that I’ll neither go to Blackburn nor to Zenit. I got the taste for winning trophies at Real. I don’t want to fight for survival or a place in mid-table. I’d love to stay with Madrid.” (ANI)
