New Delhi, June 13: With the monsoon around the corner, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Monday directed all civic agencies in the capital city to gear up to tackle problems of water-logging, flooding and damaged roads.
Dikshit directed the constitution of a committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Praveen K. Tripathi to monitor all matters relating to water-logging and flooding.
She also directed the private power distribution companies to ensure continuous power supply to pumping stations of civic agencies during monsoon to tackle water-logging.
