Doctor gets Rs.50 lakh extortion demand

Patna, June 24: A Bihar doctor says he has been asked to pay up Rs.50 lakh as ransom or die.

Plastic surgeon Ratan Sharma told police that the demand was made by an unidentified caller.

Senior Superintendent of Police Alok Kumar said Sharma was told that he must leave Patna if he can’t pay the money.
