New Delhi, June 10: Veteran actor Morgan Freeman has been honoured with the American Film Institute (AFI) Life Achievement Award.
Freeman, 74, who is the second African American to receive the award after Sidney Poitier, was honoured at a star-studded ceremony held in Los Angeles, English.news.cn reported.
“I come from humble beginnings. It’s been quite a trip,” Freeman had told the Washington Post before receiving the award.
Founded in 1967, the award is aimed at honouring a single individual’s contribution to enriching American culture through motion pictures and television. (ANI)
