Sharjah, June 12 (IANS/WAM) Air Arabia, a low-cost airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has won an award from aircraft manufacturing giant Airbus for ‘operational excellence’.
The Sharjah-based Air Arabia won the A-320 Family Operational Excellence Award from Airbus for the year 2009-2010.
The airline received the award for achieving the highest level of A-320 aircraft utilisation in the world for a fleet of less than 30 aircraft.
The award was given in Toronto, during Airbus’s biannual symposium of all worldwide operators of the A-320.
