Chris Evans’ car addiction sees him spending £20m on 46 cars in five-yrs

London, July 4: English broadcaster Chris Evans has admitted that he is an “autoholic” after spending 20 million pounds on 46 cars in just five years.

Evans, 45, said that he is worried his passion for motors has turned into an “uncontrollable” obsession.

“I did flirt with the idea that I might be worryingly addicted to buying auto-mobiles and nothing has changed. Indeed, my condition may even have become more acute,” the Daily Star quoted him as saying.

His most extravagant buys include a 12 million pounds Ferrari 250 GTO and a 5 million pound Ferrari 250 California Spyder once owned by Hollywood legend James Coburn.

Evans, who was displaying one of his Ferraris at the Goodwood Festival Of Speed, said that he is “incapable” of passing a car showroom without buying something.

“Everything else becomes like a distant wind in a far-off land. It ceases to exist. Nothing means anything to us addicts other than securing the next addition,” he added. (ANI)
