Drone attack kills five in Pakistan

Islamabad, July 12: Five people were killed and six injured Tuesday in a US drone strike in northwest Pakistan.

The attack took place at 7.30 a.m. in the tribal area of South Waziristan, reported Xinhua citing Geo TV.

The drone targeted a vehicle carrying militants in Beermal area, a militant stronghold.

At least nine militants were killed and several injured in a similar attack Monday night on a vehicle in North Waziristan.
