Jammu, July 12: Fresh batch of 3,025 pilgrims on Tuesday left the Jammu base camp for the Amarnath shrine.
The pilgrims, including 677 women and 88 children, left in a cavalcade of 97 vehicles from Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu.
With this batch, as many as 43,099 pilgrims have left Jammu in 13 batches for their onward journey to the cave shrine.
More than two lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine since commencement of the pilgrimage on June 29. The pilgrimage would last until August 13.
The Amarnath cave shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The main shrine is claimed to be over 5,000-years-old. (ANI)
