Nasri will not be sold at any price: Wenger

London, July 12: Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted that midfielder Samir Nasri will not be sold at any price.

Wenger also admitted skipper Cesc Fabregas could stay on at Arsenal despite speculations about his transfer from the club, The Sun reports.

“Will Nasri be at the club this season? I say yes. Will he sign a new contract? I hope yes,” Wenger was quoted, as saying.

“There is always speculation when a player has only one contract year to go. But Samir is committed to staying,” he added.

Manchester United and City have been in line to sign Nasri at an estimated bid of over 20 million pounds.

“I do not think he (Nasri) is coming to us. I think he has agreed to go somewhere else or stay at Arsenal,” United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said.

Wenger also revealed he is trying to convince Fabregas to stay with the Gunners and not join Barcelona.

“We are desperate to keep him. We will fight,” he said. (ANI)
