Chennai, July 26: Anti-corruption officials on Tuesday carried out raids on premises belonging to senior bureaucrats and police officers.
The raids were carried out in connection with sale and misappropriation of plots allotted under the government discretionary quota, NDTV reports.
Among those raided were former Tamil Nadu inteligence bureau chief Jaffar Sait, who is currently looking after a Lankan refugee camp in Mandapam.
Former Tamil Nadu chief minister M.Karunanidhi’s secretary, Rajamanickam, was also raided.
The residences of Karunanidhi’s security officers Pandian, Vinothan and Ganesan were also raided.
The Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) conducted the raids. (ANI)
