Islamabad, July 19(ANI): Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari is due to visit Kabul today to hold talks with his Afghan counterpart President Hamid Karzai.
Zardari’s spokesperson Farhatullah Babar said that the two leaders will discuss issues of bilateral importance as well as counter-terrorism and peacemaking with the Taliban.
The president will also convey his condolences to Karzai on the death of his half-brother Ahmed Wali Karzai, the Express Tribune reports.
Zardari’s visit to Kabul comes after his trip to Iran earlier this week in which he reportedly held in-depth negotiations with the country’s leadership on the future of Afghanistan. (ANI)
