Edgbaston (UK), Aug 9: After two successive defeats in the Tests against England, the Indian cricket team sweated it out at the nets on Monday ahead of the third Test to be played at Edgbaston in Birmingham from Wednesday.
Indian team coach Duncan Fletcher oversaw the players and corrected them on their stance, strokes, delivery of balls and catching.
With the exception of Rahul Dravid, all Indian batsmen have struggled against the England attack and lost three first-choice players to injuries.
Pacer Zaheer Khan, spinner Harbhajan Singh and middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh who is also a utility bowler have been ruled out of the series.
Opener Virender Sehwag, coming back from a shoulder surgery, has joined the team, boosting the tourists’ hopes of fielding their regular openers for the remaining two Tests against a dominant England side.
