Rehman Malik not rattled by Pak lawmaker’s ‘congenital liar’ diatribe

Islamabad, Aug 29(ANI): Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has forgiven Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza despite being called a “congenital liar” and “the single biggest threat to Pakistan’s future”.

Malik said that Mirza was like his younger brother, and reckons that the remarks might have been an emotional outburst.

“I don’t mind this kind of statements,” the Dawn quoted Malik, as saying.

Earlier, lashing out at Malik, Mirza had said: “Rehman Malik is such a compulsive liar that if he is having an apple when you call him, he will say he is having a banana.”

He also said that he had once requested Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari to enroll Malik at a university where he could learn how to lie.

Mirza also stated that Malik was not loyal to Pakistan, pointing out that the Interior Minister’s entire family lives in London.

“If any harm comes to Pakistan in the future, it will be because of Rehman Malik,” he had said. (ANI)
