Scott ready to let clubs do talking at PGA

Atlanta (Georgia), Aug.10: Adam Scott and his high-profile bagman Steve Williams are ready to let his clubs do the talking in pursuit of US PGA Championship glory.

Williams has been under fire not only for his emotional dig at former long-time boss Tiger Woods – saying Scott’s World Golf Championships triumph was the “best win I’ve ever had” – but also for taking limelight away from Scott, who hardly received a mention.

Scott on Tuesday made it clear he had no issues with the caddie, who he believes can help bring out his best golf.

“We’ve had our chat about the whole thing, and he feels the way he feels,” Scott told a media conference at Atlanta Athletic Club ahead of the PGA Championship first round on Thursday.

“I just took what he said as confidence for me,” he added.

Scott values New Zealander Williams for more than his indisputable course-management nous.

“He’s a driven guy. He’s motivated. I am a laidback guy, but I do have the fire in my belly,” he said. (ANI)
