New Delhi, Aug 16: The time line of events as veteran social activist Anna Hazare was detained along with supporters.

7.20 a.m.- Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal along with six other people detained by Delhi Police from the Mayur Vihar residence where he was staying.

7.20 to around 8.30 a.m.- Supporters block way and the police is stuck in the Mayur Vihar locality for nearly an hour.

Around 9 a.m. – Kiran Bedi and Shanti Bhushan are detained at Rajghat.

Around 9.30 a.m. – Anna Hazare taken to officers mess at Civil Lines.

12 noon – Both houses of parliament adjourned for the day as opposition parties protest the detention.

Around 2 p.m. – Hazare is taken to the office of DCP West, Delhi police in Rajouri Garden area of Delhi to be presented before special executive magistrate. Anna Hazare refuses to sign a bond, sent to 7-day judicial custody.

Around 3.45 p.m. – Hazare and Kejriwal, along with other supporters, arrive in Tihar jail.

6.30 p.m. – Kiran Bedi, Shanti Bhushan released from detention.
