Batmobile replica up for grabs at $578,000

Melbourne, Sept 2: An exact replica of the Batmobile, the super car that featured in Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman film, is up for sale for 578,000 dollars.

The vehicle has been street registered in the US and listed for sale on online auction site, eBay, reported News.com.au.

The owner of the car, Casey Putsch of Putsch Racing Designs, claimed the turbine-powered naval drone-based driving machine is the only authentic replica in existence.

The Batmobile was built in Putsch’s Ohio workshop in just five months and according to the eBay listing, it would need less servicing than a regular family car.

It features a 385-horsepower Boeing turbo shaft engine lifted from a naval drone helicopter, an iPod-compatible sound system and an iPad built into the dashboard for avionics and navigation. (ANI)
