London, Sept 5: A survey has found that fathers take the cake when it comes to embarrassing behaviour in front of their teenage offspring.
Whether it is a spot of over-enthusiastic dancing at a family celebration or public displays of affection, they are guaranteed to make their sons and daughters cringe.
According to the survey, commissioned by Twentieth Century Fox for the release of the Modern Family Season 2 box set, it is not just fathers who are an embarrassment, but mums are getting in on the act too.
In a poll of 1,500 UK teenagers, 88 percent admitted to being regularly embarrassed by their parents.
Nearly three-quarters of the surveyed teenagers said they would not introduce a boyfriend or girlfriend to their parents in case they embarrassed them.
Almost 63 percent of those surveyed also said fathers were more cringe inducing than their mothers. (ANI)
