NATO soldier dies of non-battle injury in Afghanistan

Kabul, Sep 18: A NATO soldier has died in Afghanistan of a non-battle related injury, the military alliance said in a statement.

‘An International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service member died as a result of a non-battle related injury in eastern Afghanistan Saturday,’ Xinhua quoted an ISAF statement as saying.

The statement, however, did not reveal the nationality of the victim.

A total of 439 foreign soldiers, most of them Americans, have been killed in Afghanistan so far this year.
