Rick Perry leads GOP 2012 US presidential race, ahead of Obama: Poll

Washington, Sep 4(ANI): A new poll has shown that Texas Governor Rick Perry is leading the GOP 2012 US presidential race, way ahead of President Barack Obama.

The national Rasmussen poll showed Perry, who secured 44 percent votes, edged Obama, who commanded 41 percent support.

No other GOP White House candidate overtook Obama, the New York Daily News reports.

The poll surveyed 1,000 likely American voters between August 23 and 30. (ANI)
