William Shatner dismisses ‘Star Wars’ as derivative of ‘Star Trek’

Washington, Sept 22: William Shatner has dismissed the ‘Star Wars’ franchise as a “derivative” of ‘Star Trek’.

The interview of the 80-year-old actor was posted on his YouTube page.

“‘Star Trek’ had relationships and conflict among the relationships and stories that involved humanity and philosophical questions,” Fox News quoted him as saying.

“‘Star Wars’ was special effects, was ILM at its best. God knows what those actors looked like in reality with all those special effects.

“There’s no telling what ILM did for those faces and hairdos. They may have walked around with nothing on,” he added. (ANI)
