Washington, Oct 4: A majority of Americans expect a Republican nominee to win the 2012 Presidential election, according to a poll.
According to a Washington Post-ABC News poll, 55 percent of Americans expect a Republican victory next year, while 37 percent predicted that President Barack Obama would win reelection.
The poll also showed that 83 percent of Republicans believe that a GOP nominee, male or female, is likely to claim the presidency next year.
Republicans who “strongly support” the tea party political movement are particularly confident, as according to the poll 91 percent of these Republicans believe that a GOP candidate will win the general election.
According to the poll, 58 percent Democrats think Obama will win a second term, while one third of Democrats expect a Republican to win.he poll also showed that only 13 percent of Republicans believe that Obama will again. (ANI)
