Maoist bunker destroyed in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Oct 27: A Maoist bunker was destroyed and explosives recovered in Jharkhand’s Chatra district Thursday, police said.

Police seized 65 detonators, explosives and Maoist literature from the bunker in a forested area in Sinduria, around 160 km from Ranchi. The Maoist guerrillas, however, managed to escape.

Jharkhand’s 18 of the 24 districts are affected by the Maoists.
