Spurious liquor kills seven in Pakistan

Islamabad, Oct 20: Seven Hindus in Pakistan’s Karachi city have died after consuming spurious liquor, a media report said.

The incident took place in the Chanesar Goth area. The Police department has suspended SHO Tipu Sultan for his failure to curb the use of such liquor in his jurisdiction.

The victims, all friends, died at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre during treatment. They consumed the liquor individually at their homes Monday night, The News reported Wednesday.
