Argo met service extended to 25 lakh farmers

New Delhi, Nov 25: The agro weather advisory service – regular weather updates – has been extended to 25 lakh farmers in the country so far, an official said Friday.

The service provides weather updates to farmers through various means of communication including SMS, the official said.

The service brings around Rs.50,000 crore annually to the GDP.
