London, Nov 2: Pakistani cricketers Kamran Akmal and Wahab Riaz may reportedly face an investigation over their roles in the spot fixing scam.
The Telegraph has reported that the International Cricket Council (ICC) will examine the evidence gathered by police officers in the spot-fixing trial, the News reports.
Akmal and Riaz were reportedly mentioned numerous times during the case Akmal’s name also came up during correspondence between Mazhar Majeed and the fixing agents.
Majeed had also mentioned Akmal and Riaz’s names as players who were in on his fixing schemes, it added.
The now defunct News of the World also published photographs of Riaz wearing the white jacket containing money provided by Mazhar Majeed. (ANI)
