Kim Kardashian files for divorce from Humphries after just 72 days of marriage

London, Nov 1: Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage on the grounds of ‘irreconcilable differences.’

The 31-year-old reality star said it was ‘not an easy decision,’ insisting she had hoped the marriage would ‘last forever’.

“After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision,” the Daily Mail quoted Kardashian as saying in a statement to E!.

“I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best,” she added.

Meanwhile, Kris is devastated by her decision, with TMZ claiming he only learnt she was divorcing him this morning.

“I’m committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents,” he said in a statement via his representative.

“I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce … I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work,” he stated. (ANI)
