Kirsten backs Imran Tahir to ‘develop and grow as decent Test cricketer’

Johannesburg, Nov 23(ANI): South African coach Gary Kirsten feels that leg-spinner Imran Tahir has the potential to become a decent Test match cricketer.

Tahir had failed to pick up a wicket on his Test debut against Australia in Cape Town, but fared much better in the second and final Test in Johannesburg.

He took three wickets in the first innings and the big wicket of Usman Khawaja in the second innings.

“Imran definitely got something going that we can all be excited by and he will continue to develop and grow as a Test match cricketer. We all know how different it is coming from first-class level into the international arena because the mental demands are so much bigger,” Sport24 quoted Kirsten, as saying. (ANI)
