NATO soldier killed in Afghan insurgent attack

Kabul, Nov 11: A NATO soldier was killed in an insurgent attack in Afghanistan’s southern region Friday, Xinhua reported.

‘An International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) service member died following an insurgent attack in southern Afghanistan today,’ the US-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said in a statement, hoever, it did not provide details about the exact place of incident.

Taliban insurgents, whose regime was toppled in a US-led incursion in late 2001, have intensified activities since the militant group announced to launch spring offensive against Afghan security forces.
