Noel and Liam Gallagher’s mum devastated by sons’ legal feud

London, Nov 22: Former Oasis members Noel and Liam Gallagher’s mother Peggy Gallagher is devastated her sons are locked in a bitter legal feud.

Noel, 44, is counter-suing Beady Eye frontman Liam for libel.

Their 64-year-old mum, who lives in Burnage, Manchester hopes that they will reach a truce.

“I’ve found it very upsetting,” the Daily Star quoted the mother as saying.

“The brothers know she is upset by the whole episode. But they obviously feel the need to defend themselves in court now,” a source added.

Noel lodged a 14-page document with London’s High Court branding his brother “spiteful and childish”.

He says Liam abused his wife Sara MacDonald, 39, in voicemail messages and tried to attack him while wielding a guitar “like an axe”.

Noel also slams Liam for mocking him on stage and says their feuds were so violent they travelled in separate cars to gigs.

His claims were lodged on November 1 after a libel suit from Liam.

Liam slapped Noel with a writ earlier this year after Noel accused him of missing a 2009 V Festival gig because he was hung over.

Noel later apologised and admitted Liam actually had laryngitis.

“After Noel apologised the matter is now in the hands of lawyers,” a spokesman for Liam said. (ANI)
