Cold wave sweeps Jharkhand

Ranchi, Dec 17: Cold wave conditions prevailed over many parts of Jharkhand Saturday, with the mercury plummeting to 6 degrees Celsius in this state capital, Met officials said.

In Daltanganj, Jamshedpur and Pakur cities, the minimum temperature dipped to 6.2, 7.8 and 7 degrees, respectively.

‘The cold wave will continue for the next 48 hours,’ G.K. Mohanty, director of Jharkhand Meteorological Department, told IANS.
