Moscow, Dec 9 (IANS/RIA Novosti) About 200 disabled children in Kyrgyzstan have received wheelchairs from Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and his US counterpart Barack Obama.
Medvedev ordered to send advanced technical equipment to the disabled children in Kyrgyzstan after former President Roza Otunbayeva asked for help.
Washington also responded by sending about 100 wheelchairs.
‘Russia and the US can do a lot for peace. This project allows to facilitate this cooperation,’ said Otunbayeva.
Each wheelchair costs around $1,500.
