Mike Tindall to spend Christmas with Queen after receiving ‘royal pardon’

London, Dec 12: Mike Tindall, who has made news for his drunken antics in New Zealand during the Rugby World Cup, has apparently been forgiven by his wife Zara Phillips and will be spending Christmas with the Queen.

While the 33-year-old former England captain won’t be present at the traditional Boxing Day pheasant shoot, but will spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at the Queen’s Norfolk retreat.

“Zara and Mike are going to Sandringham to join the Royal Family,” the Daily Mail quoted a pal as saying.

“They will exchange their gifts on Christmas Eve before a drinks reception and a banquet.

“Mike has said he’ll be on his best behaviour because he’s playing rugby for Gloucester on Boxing Day. He won’t be drinking any alcohol,” the pal added.

According to a Royal aide, “the Queen has extended an invitation to all her grandchildren.” (ANI)
