New Delhi, Jan 21: Delhi woke up to clear skies Saturday after almost a week of foggy mornings. A bright sun brought welcome warmth heralding a pleasant day despite a below-normal minimum temperature.
The minimum temperature Saturday morning was two notches below average at 5.4 degrees Celsius. The day temperature is likely to be around 18 degrees, an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
Visibility was higher at 1,500 metres Saturday morning in sharp contrast to the low visibility due to heavy fog Friday which resulted in cancellation or rescheduling of flights and train services.
A total of 200 domestic and international flights were affected Friday due to fog.
The chill will, however, continue as cold winds blow through Delhi, the IMD official said.
