Nine killed in Afghan suicide bombing

Kabul, Jan 18: At least nine people were killed in a suicide bomb attack in southern Afghanistan Wednesday.

The explosion took place in Nawi Bazar in Kajaki district of Helmand province.

The attacker detonated his explosives near a police vehicle around 3.30 p.m., the provincial government spokesman told Xinhua. Eight people were injured.
