Beijing, Feb 3: China Friday vowed to further tighten its food safety measures.
The health ministry said it will blacklist food that is mixed with non-edible ingredients or food additives.
So far, the ministry has identified 80 illegal food additives.
It will further review and revamp the standards for additives, contaminants and micro-organism in food production, the China Daily reported citing a government plan.
Campaigns will be launched against the use of illegal chemical additives and to improve the efficiency of the authorities in tackling such crimes.
