Gary Lineker plans to spend just œ12.50 on wife for Valentine’s Day

London, Feb 12: Gary Lineker has revealed that he won’t be splashing money on flowers, expensive lingerie or pricey chocolates for his wife Danielle on Valentine’s day.

The 51-year-old former footballer made the revelations at the launch of Indian restaurant Chakra in London’s Notting Hill Gate.

“I’ve put a budget on my Valentine’s Day this year. I’ve decided to spend 12.50 pounds. I’m not joking,” the Daily Star quoted Lineker as saying.

“I’ll probably do something last minute and get her ten packets of Walkers crisps,” he said.

Talking about her hubby, the 32-year-old Danielle said “He is a romantic, but he’s not soppy.

“He’s written me poems and they’re very good.

“I’m not bothered about extravagant romantic overtures,” she said. (ANI)
